In a bizarre crossover event that challenges usual predictions, the game developer has announced an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary additional story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Questline Revealed
According to the authorized announcement, "A strange meeting leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where rumors of banned ceremonies and terrifying changes echo through the obscurity." The plot presents a "strangely dressed woman named Ada" who charges the pair with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a hidden cult.
The questline concentrates on "bizarre trials and a fearsome enemy" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Locations and Transformations
The preview highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was earlier where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The preview finishes with a powerful scene showing a character, presumably the captive, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who accomplish the quest will receive an exclusive katana together with several artifacts secreted throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
