Incredible $30 Cartography Humble Bundle Is a Virtual Tabletop GM's Dream

Following a brief run earlier this year, the Map Making Mega Bundle is back with an encore that lasts through early December. Hailed as a "treasure trove of assets and apps" developed by ProFantasy Software over the years, the entire collection carries a value of over $1,300. Additionally, there exist multiple package options available here.

The Main Attraction

The standout feature is certainly a lifetime license to the CC3+ software, a professional-grade cartography program that can be used to generate various types including fantasy overworld maps, detailed regional charts, city maps, and most notably, tactical combat environments.

Bundle Tiers

Entry Level

The most affordable option, at a minimum cost of $1, features merely four from the thirty-nine available products: Symbol Set 1: Fantasy Overland, Monster Token Pack 1, Source Maps: Castles!, Urban Source Maps. This one's only for cartographers who already have CC3+, but it does offer new fantasy symbol styles for overworld maps, more than 750 monster tokens for use in virtual tabletops, over twenty-five top-down castle layouts with 470 associated map tokens, eight complete urban centers, plus seventy-plus building interiors.

Mid-Range Option

The eight-item bundle for at least $15 is where things get more interesting through inclusion of permanent CC3+ access, the first Annual volume, Ultimate Mapping Guidebook, and Symbol Set 6: Isometric Cities. Cartographer's Annual is the yearly bundle from the company's ongoing subscription program featuring multiple CC3+ enhancements like map collections and additional utilities. The Isometric Cities enables present urban areas in 3D perspective using angled views from multiple angles. Meanwhile, the Mapping Tome comprises 760 pages for beginners and "power users" alike, full of tips and tutorials covering cartography techniques.

You can even design character portraits. For $30 as opposed to $15, the complete collection is so worth it, especially for cartographers with temporary CC3+ access and want to upgrade to lifetime. But it's obviously more advantageous for cartography beginners considering you even get introductory guides to help you get started. The one caveat here though you can redeem the deal across platforms, the software is only usable with Windows systems.
